F.A.Q's

There are many ways Topliners work in the industry, so let me answer some of your most asked questions

Questions

Why do I have to request access?

Ensuring exclusivity for the artists I work with is one of my highest priorities. With that in mind, access will not be granted to everyone. Every request received is carefully vetted to ensure the toplines are with the correct audience.

What are the terms of using one of your toplines?

  • I absolutely must be included as a featured artist on the title track with a primary artist tag on digital service providers (however, I reserve the right to refuse upon hearing final master)

  • Percentage of the royalty / master rights

  • Percentage of the publishing (equal split)

How much are the toplines?

I don't put a flat fee on my website because quite simply, everything is variable but also because I wouldn’t want to discourage anyone from working with me. I want to help grow this scene more than anything so if you can create something amazing with my music, contact me and let's see if we can come to an arrangement that suits us both.

What will I receive in the topline package?

The folder will include:

  • Dry stems - edited lead, doubles and harmonies

  • Wet stems - edited lead, doubles and harmonies

  • Lyrics

  • Basic chord pattern MIDI File

I'm interested in a topline, what happens now?

  1. Use the contact form to let me know which topline you are interested in or email me info@codamusic.uk

  2. I will send you the wet acapella to play with, however, at this point the vocal will still be available to others. Vocals are sold on a first come, first served basis but this is only when a deal is reached.

  3. Once you have decided you would like to proceed and we have agreed a suitable arrangement, I will remove the topline from Only Vox and you will have full exclusivity. I will send you the topline package including all stems and any fees due will be payable upon receipt.

How long is the song licensed to clients for?

An exclusive license is initially granted for 12 months, during which the client must release the song publicly. If they do so within this timeframe, the license becomes perpetual. However, if the song isn't released within 12 months, the exclusive license expires and Only Vox may re-sell the vocal.

Once a deal has been reached, an initial licensing agreement is considered signed and this will become legally binding.

Will I be notified when new toplines are uploaded?

Yes, I will notify all Only Vox VIP's when new toplines are uploaded. Remember to save this email info@codamusic.uk so you stand a chance of getting the topline you want!

Im a producer in another genre that isn't Hard Dance, can I use your toplines?

Im afraid not, I'm a girl with an orange heart and will not release music in other genres. Only Vox is the ONLY website for toplines specifically created for the harder styles.

How can the Universe help me?

The Universe responds to your frequency. Like attracts like and if you are vibrating in the frequency of gratitude, happiness and abundance, you are going to attract things on the same frequency. If you've found your way to reading this - its a sign. ;-)
